Now a great double – European crown and La Liga title – beckons. If the team achieves the double, it would be a lasting stamp of their greatness.

They are on top of La Liga at the moment. With six rounds of matches remaining in the league, they need to keep on winning until Barca and Real Madrid falter. This is one of their easier fixtures, as Getafa have had a miserable season so far.

Atletico will find inspiration from the earlier meeting at home against Getafe, in which they thrashed the visitors 7-0. They will not expect a similar score line, but will expect a win nevertheless.

Diego Costa’s injury has come at the wrong time for Atletico. They coped well without him against Barcelona. They have some of the most tenacious players in their ranks. They will feel that they can win against Getafe, even without Costa.
