Belarus – Ukraine preview
This should be an interesting game between two national teams of the ex USSR. Both teams hope that they will reach one of three places in a group C that will take them to Euro 2016 in France.
Belarus have never in their history qualified for European Championship. This time, they are in a group with Spain, Slovakia, Luxembourg, Macedonia and Ukraine, so they have a fairly good chances to reach at least the third spot, which would lead them to the playoffs. In 2014 they played four friendlies, won two, played draw once and lost one time. In the first game of the Group C, Luxembourg surprised them with the final score of 1-1. They’ll need to do better this time, but their key man, Alexandr Hleb is out of squad.
Ukraine are in a good form, but they didn’t do well versus Slovakia in their first match at home in Group C. Even though, they have one of the best teams in Europe and they will try to beat their fierce rivals. Their key players in the previous couple of years have been Tymoshchuk and Yarmolenko and these 2 are ready to give their contribution.
