Cameroon-Croatia betting preview
In a crunch game of World Cup 2014, Cameroon takes on Croatia on this Thursday. The importance of the match cannot be overemphasised: the loser will lead to the exit lounge. The winner of this match has a better chance of qualifying, while the loser has no chance at all for redemption. Croatia gave a better account of themselves against Brazil than Cameroon did against Mexico in their opening game. While Cameroon appeared disjointed and bereft of any new ideas, Croatia managed to meet Brazil in the eye for most part of the match. Better goal-keeping and better refereeing would have altered the match’s fate.
However, off-the-field controversy – that Croatia media and social networking platforms are abuzz with the pictures of naked players roaming a near swimming pool in the team base – appeared to have affected the team’s morale.
Still, Croatia is likely to play an attacking game with regular attacks through the wings. Cameroon defence appeared susceptible to crosses from either side in the first game.

Croatia will welcome back their star striker Mario Mandzukic after a one-match suspension. He will be eager to convert all those crosses into goals. His presence will also lessen the burden on Luka Modric, who had a good game against Brazil.

He is not likely to take part in the rest of the tournament. Pierre Webb will come into his place. Alex Song and Stéphane Mbia will have to take the attack’s leadership.
