Chelsea will be vary of another potential banana skin match when they host Stoke City on this Saturday. Stoke have been in the best form of the season, having stitched together an unbeaten run of five matches. In fact, the team has lost just one of its last nine matches. Chelsea are the only team in the EPL that have not lost a home match yet. They lost three out of four previous matches, including the midweek Champions League tie against PSG. But at home, it takes something extra ordinary to beat them.

Chelsea won the most recent match against Stoke in an FA Cup fixture at home 1-0. But Stoke had defeated the Blues 3-2 in the earlier fixture of the season. But that was their first win in 38 years. Stoke have not won a match at Stanford Bridge in recent times. Still, their recent good run, in which they even defeated Arsenal, will offer them plenty of confidence to go for a kill.

Injury to Samuel Eto'o, Chelsea’s only in-form striker, should be a worry for them. Their midfielders, particularly Eden Hazard and Andre Schürrle, usually rescue the team.

Both the Peters in the Stoke line-up, Crouch and Odemwingie, are in good form. They will search for a season-defining goal.
