Last Goalscorer Betting
This market allows punters to place their wagers on the player who they think will score the last goal before the final whistle of the match. Your bet remains valid until the final substitution is made, which means that you can even bet on a player who starts on the bench, but eventually takes part in the match before the 90 minutes of regular play are over. However, all bets placed on players who do not participate in that particular match are void. No Goalscorer bets can also be placed in this market.
Online bookmakers present punters with a plethora of possibilities to encourage them to participate in last goalscorer betting. You are free to place your bet on any player from either side of the match. Different players have different odds, depending on their likelihood to score, and the venue of the match: home or away. For example, in a match between Manchester City and Manchester United, the odds offered for strikers for the home team can range between 6/1 and 8/1, and continue to increase with a decrease in the scoring ability of the player, such that the odds offered for defenders range from 25/1 to 50/1, based on the skills of the player. For the away team, the odds offered for strikers can range from 6/1 to 14/1, but the odds for other players remain similar.

While the possible winnings of last goalscorer betting are considerably high, it is an extremely difficult bet to win. However, you have the option to play it safe with a No Goalscorer wager, whose odds are offered at 8/1.
Your bookie may have a different set of rules for this market, though some are rather standard. For instance, own goals are not considered in this market; bets are settled on the results of the Press Association (PA); and bets for postponed or abandoned matches are considered to be void.
