This is a gilt-edged opportunity for Schalke 04 to move closer to the runners-up position in the Bundesliga The team is second at the moment – three points behind Borussia Dortmund. Dortmund have a vastly superior goal difference. But Schalke have comparatively easier fixtures ahead than Dortmund does. If they take this opportunity, there is every chance of them surging ahead in the remaining five rounds of matches.

Eintracht Frankfurt haven't played too well in the season. The team is eight points clear of the relegation zone. They have been largely inconsistent, but on their day they have found their giant-killing instincts. Borussia Monchengladbach, Bayer Leverkusen and Mainz were among their prized scalps of the season. Schalke would be keen to prevent themselves from being added to the list.
