Changes in Tottenham haven’t proven fruitful yet as since Andre Villas-Boas’s departure, Tottenham suffered another defeat. The heavy loss from Liverpool was the catalyst for his sacking, but neither did the temporary manager Sherwood managed to get the Spurs back on track. This Sunday, Southampton will look to exploit Tottenham's bad form.
After a great start of the season, Southampton got among the top teams in the Premier league, but their recent run, lowered their position. Now, they are on the 9th spot with 24 points. The thing that worries the home squad the most is their form. Southampton won only 2 points from their last five games. To be fair to them, their bad run mostly has to do with the fact that many of their key players were having injury issues. They will be once again without their regular goalkeeper Artur Boruc. However their biggest problem is the absence of their key midfielder Victor Wanyama. Besides these two, several other players are facing late injury tests.
Tottenham are in a really strange situation right now. It is impossible to predict how they will cope with managerial changes. Currently, they are on the 7th spot with 27 points, which isn’t bad at all. However for the team of such quality, their goal difference is just pathetic. They’ve scored only 15 goals in 16 games, which was one of the main reasons why Andre Villas-Boas got fired. The last drop was a humiliating 5-0 loss to Liverpool on White Hart Lane, but Tottenham weren’t convincing neither prior nor after that match. Tim Sherwood is leading the team now, but hasn’t shown he’s worth the position yet. In his debut on the managerial place, his team lost to West Ham in League Cup.

It is very hard to predict the outcome of this game, but because of that the odds are high. I think Tottenham will snap out the lethargy and win this game.
