The biggest sporting event is in one month’s time so here’s a preview of Group C, featuring Colombia, Greece, Japan and the Ivory Coast. For Jose Pekerman’s men, it’ll be a first World Cup for the Colombians since 1998 while Greece will be participating in their second consecutive World Cup. Japan will be hoping to improve on their round of 16 finish in 2010 while the Ivory Coast target group qualification, having finished 3rd in their group the last time out.

Stars to look out for

Colombia have a host of stars traveling to Brazil - James Rodriguez, Juan Quintero, Carlos Bacca, Juan Cuadrado, Jackson Martinez and more, all of whom have had great domestic seasons. However, the key man and talisman is Radamel Falcao. Widely considered as the best number nine in the world, the Monaco striker suffered a season ending injury recently, casting doubts about his involvement in the World Cup. However, with reports stating that he could very well make it, Colombia will be a much stronger outfit and the striker will definitely be one to look out for.

For Greece, they will be looking for inspiration from captain, Giorgos Karagounis while Fulham striker, Kostas Mitroglou is another player who could be dangerous especially if he continues his early season form. As for the Japanese, all their hopes will be pinned on duo, Shinji Kagawa and Keisuke Honda while the Ivory Coast will rely on the likes of Didier Drogba, Gervinho, Yaya Toure and company.

Who could go through?
