It looked as though Manchester City have gone off the radar these days. Their games have been postponed either due to bad weather or because of scheduling conflicts. As things stand now, the team has played three games fewer than its main opponent Chelsea. And they trail by nine points. A win each in the three missed games will take them to the top of the table. They would prefer to start their upward journey with a win over Hull City on this Saturday.

Hull City are placed 13th in the Premier League, with 30 points. They have scored 19 of these points at home. And they would want to enhance that tally. What would give them hope is City’s poor performance during the last one month or so. They have lost to Chelsea in the premier league, lost twice to Barca in the Champions League, were held by Norwich, and just managed a sloppy 1-0 win over Stoke last week. And Hull have made it into semi finals of the FA Cup, while City has been ousted in the quarter finals, once again by Wigan.

Moreover, Manchester City have not managed a win at The Kingston Communications Stadium in recent years. All these would give high hopes for Hull to secure at least a draw.

Still, it takes only a matter of seconds for Man City’s awesome line-up to wake up. Sergio Agüero, Yaya Touré and David Silva, to name but a few, can spoil Hull’s somewhat decent home record.

Hull has an anonymous side in contrast to the glittering galaxy in the Manchester City’s ranks. Jake Livermore and Nikica Jelavic are the best equipped to rattle the City defence.
