What Is an Accumulator Bet?

An accumulator takes 2 or more selections and combines them into a single bet line. Unlike a Trixie or a Lucky 15, there's no partial cover — every selection has to win, or the whole bet loses. In exchange, the odds multiply together, so even a modest stake can turn into a big return if everything comes in.

Selections Bet Name Bet Lines
2 Double 1
3 Treble 1
4 Fourfold 1
5+ Accumulator (5-fold, 6-fold, etc.) 1

A double and a treble are technically accumulators too — the term "acca" just usually refers to 4+ selections in everyday use. If you want built-in cover so a losing selection doesn't wipe out the whole bet, see our full bet calculator for Trixies, Yankees and Lucky 15s instead.

How Does the Accumulator Bet Calculator Work?

The calculator multiplies your selections' odds together to get your combined odds, then applies your stake:

  • Combined Odds = Odds 1 × Odds 2 × Odds 3 × ... for every selection you add
  • Return = Stake × Combined Odds
  • Bet Lines = 1, no matter how many selections you add

Enter your selections' odds — fractional or decimal — and your stake, and the calculator handles the multiplication for you, including each way terms if your selections support it.

How Combined Odds Escalate

Fold Selections at Evens (2.00) Combined Odds £1 Stake Return
Double 2 4.00 £4
Treble 3 8.00 £8
4-fold 4 16.00 £16
5-fold 5 32.00 £32
6-fold 6 64.00 £64

Example Calculation

5 football selections at 1.80, 1.65, 2.10, 1.75 and 1.90, £5 stake:

  • Combined odds: 1.80 × 1.65 × 2.10 × 1.75 × 1.90 = 20.74
  • Return if all 5 win: £5 × 20.74 = £103.69 (£98.69 profit)
  • If just 1 selection loses: £0 — the whole bet loses, regardless of how the other 4 did

FAQs

Is an accumulator bet calculator free to use?

Yes. Every calculator on this site, including the accumulator bet calculator, is completely free — no account or sign-up needed.

How many selections can I add to an accumulator?

Most bookmakers allow anywhere from 2 up to around 20 selections in one accumulator, though returns from that many winning at once are rare. Check your bookmaker's specific limit.

What happens if one selection loses?

The whole bet loses. Unlike a Trixie or Lucky 15, an accumulator has no partial cover — every single selection has to win for any return at all.

What's the difference between an accumulator and a Yankee?

An accumulator is 1 bet line covering all your selections together — all must win. A Yankee splits 4 selections into 11 separate bet lines (doubles, trebles, fourfold), so 2 winners still gets you something. Use our Yankee calculator to compare the two.
