What Is a Treble Bet?
A treble bet combines three selections from three separate events into a single bet. All three need to win — if any one loses, the whole bet loses. In return for that extra risk, the odds from all three legs multiply together, so the potential payout is significantly bigger than a double or single.
| Bet Type | Selections | Bet Lines |
|---|---|---|
| Double | 2 | 1 |
| Treble | 3 | 1 |
| Trixie | 3 | 4 |
A treble is still just 1 bet line — same 3 selections as a Trixie, but a Trixie spreads them across 4 bet lines (3 doubles + the treble) for extra cover. See our full bet calculator for every bet type.
How Does the Treble Bet Calculator Work?
All three sets of odds multiply together, then your stake applies to the combined figure:
- Combined Odds = Odds 1 × Odds 2 × Odds 3
- Return = Stake × Combined Odds
- Profit = Return − Stake
Enter all three legs' odds — fractional or decimal — and your stake, and the calculator multiplies everything for you instantly.
Each Way Treble Bet Calculator
An each way treble splits your stake into a win treble and a place treble. All three selections need to win for the win treble to pay out; all three need to at least place for the place treble to pay out. Tick the E/W box and enter your each way terms to see both parts calculated separately.
Example Calculation
£10 treble on three football teams at 2/1 (3.00), 3/1 (4.00) and 4/1 (5.00):
- Combined odds: 3.00 × 4.00 × 5.00 = 60.00
- Return: £10 × 60.00 = £600
- Profit: £600 − £10 = £590
FAQs
Is a treble bet calculator free to use?
Yes. Every calculator on this site, including the treble bet calculator, is completely free — no account or sign-up needed.
Do all three selections have to be in the same event?
No. A treble combines three selections from three different events. All three still need to win for a return.
What's the difference between a treble and a Trixie?
Both use 3 selections. A treble is 1 bet line — all three must win, or you get nothing. A Trixie is 4 bet lines (3 doubles + the treble), so even 2 winners out of 3 returns something. Use our Trixie calculator to compare the two.
