What Is a Yankee Bet?

A Yankee takes 4 selections and turns them into 11 separate bets: 6 doubles (every pairing), 4 trebles (every group of 3), and 1 fourfold (all 4 together). There are no singles in a Yankee, so at least 2 of your 4 selections need to win before you see any return.

Bet Type Selections Bet Lines
Trixie 3 4
Yankee 4 11
Lucky 15 4 15

A Yankee is the 4-selection equivalent of a Trixie — no singles, 2 winners minimum. A Lucky 15 uses the same 4 selections but adds 4 singles for full cover. See our full bet calculator for every bet type.

How Does the Yankee Bet Calculator Work?

The calculator builds all 11 bet lines from your 4 selections and totals the stake and return across them:

  • 6 Doubles — every pair of your 4 selections
  • 4 Trebles — every group of 3 selections
  • 1 Fourfold — all 4 selections combined
  • Total Stake = Unit Stake × 11

Enter your 4 sets of odds — fractional or decimal — and your unit stake, and the calculator works out every combination for you.

Total Stake by Unit Stake

Example Calculation

4 selections at 2/1 (3.00), 3/1 (4.00), 4/1 (5.00) and 5/1 (6.00), £1 unit stake (£11 total):

  • 6 doubles combined: £46
  • 4 trebles combined: £335
  • 1 fourfold: 3.00 × 4.00 × 5.00 × 6.00 = £360
  • Return if all 4 win: £741 (£730 profit on £11 staked)

FAQs

Is a Yankee bet calculator free to use?

Yes. Every calculator on this site, including the Yankee bet calculator, is completely free — no account or sign-up needed.

How many winners do I need for a Yankee to pay out?

At least 2 of your 4 selections. With exactly 2 winners, you get a return from the one matching double.

What's the difference between a Yankee and a Lucky 15?

Both use 4 selections. A Yankee is 11 bet lines (no singles) and needs 2 winners minimum. A Lucky 15 is 15 bet lines (adds 4 singles), so even 1 winner returns something — at a higher total stake. Use our Lucky 15 calculator to compare the two.
