Nice-PSG betting preview
Paris Saint-Germain have a 10-point lead over its nearest competitor Monaco. They appear to be in invincible form in the French Ligue One. Their last defeat in the league was in December 2013. The team will be super confident of another victory when it takes on Nice in an early kick-off on this Friday. They have been dispatching off opponents with varying degrees of ease. An away match against Nice, who has not been in the best of forms, should not cause any worry to PSG.
The gulf between the teams is visible in their respective league positions. PSG is at the top of the league, while Nice is 11th in the league. Nice could manage only nearly half of the points of what the Parisian powerhouse has scored.
The recent H2H statistics between the teams project a picture of two evenly balanced teams though. Each of the teams has scored five wins. But PSG has won the previous two matches between the teams.
The recent form is what sets PSG apart from other teams in the league. The team is currently on a six-match winning spree. Nice does not appear capable of stopping the PSG juggernaut.
When Zlatan Ibrahimovic plays, he will be the centre of all attraction. Having scored 25 goals in the season, he is set to garner more attention. If he is going to have a rare off-day, PSG has other striker options in Edinson Cavani and Ezequiel Lavezzi.
Nice don't boast off too many strikers of that caliber. What they do have is Darío Cvitanich, who can be lethal on his day.
A draw would be a great achievement for Nice. But on current form, it would be a surprise if PSG fails to win this.
