This season Everton have really set their goals high. They are on the 5th spot with only 4 points less than the table leaders. However, Swansea are also a highly ambitious squad and will do everything in their power to thwart Everton plans.
Swansea City haven’t been in the best shape recently. They had a tight schedule this season, besides their Premier League campaign, they were also playing in the Europa League. Now they are in the middle of the table in the English Premier League. It looks that it will be very hard for them to improve that position as they are having lots of injury problems, and more importantly tough matches ahead. Swansea will be without their regular goalkeeper Worm once again. Also they have one suspended player - Àngel Rangel, and three additional injuries. The good news is their strikers Michu and Bony are fully fit and eager to get back in the lethal form.
After this game, Everton could get even higher on the Premier League table. If they win, with a bit of luck (luck being Chelsea, Manchester City, or Liverpool losing), they can get up to the second place. But Everton don’t have their head in the clouds yet and will be looking to focus on their display, no matter how their main rivals perform. They have some injuries in the team, but the backbone of their squad is fit and ready to go. Everton are in a really impressive form this season. They have lost only once this season. Manchester City beat them in October, but since Everton managed to win against Man Utd, and to draw against Arsenal and Liverpool. Regarding playing against weaker teams, the Toffees have mainly been victorious.
Swansea City-Everton Prediction
Everton worked hard to get among the best teams in the Premier League, so it would be really sad if they didn’t continue that run. They will have the needed motivation to beat Swansea, not to mention the quality. I expect a tough match, but everything except an away win is out of the question.
